API Sachin Vaze’s arrest by NIA on the alleged role of placing gelatin sticks in the Antilia-SUV case sparked a political slugfest between BJP and Shiv Sena. Vaze who has been an encounter specialist in Mumbai Police was suspended for 16 months in concern of a custodial death case. On being reinstated to force in 2020, Vaze was heading crucial cases such as TRP Scam and Arnab Goswami’s arrest.
